▸ Before the Record Room
You’re standing at a threshold.
The Registry accumulates. This room examines. What follows is a short explanation of the difference — read it, or step straight through.
The Registry records what accumulated — dated, sourced, achievement by achievement. It doesn’t ask you to interpret anything. It just shows you what happened.
A Record Room is different. It takes one specific question the accumulation raises, and lays out — plainly, in ordinary language — what the record shows, what someone said, what the record does not answer. Nothing here is softened, and nothing is settled for you. Where the surviving evidence complicates the easiest reading, that’s shown too, whoever it favors.
You won’t be told what to conclude. You’ll be given enough to disagree.
Choose where to begin. Each room stands on its own — you don’t need to read them in order, and you don’t need to have read the Registry entries behind them first.
No agencies were harmed in the construction of this threshold.
The reader draws their own conclusions — here as everywhere else.
