Public board meeting, Octorara Area School District. Remarks delivered by Brian Norris, Board President, in his official capacity, on the public record.

▸ Verbatim Transcript

“Yeah. I I want to finish uh want put a bow on something a longstanding issue with our board. Um, as we all know, Tony Falgiatore uh was uh in or as part of his acceptance into the ARD program for uh illegally recording uh an executive session um several years ago, uh he had to make an apology to the uh victims that were in the room and uh he successfully did that. Jill has a copy of both the apology that was sent to uh to myself board president and to the various uh board members and administrators that happen to be in the room. Um, but I think it’s fair to point out that there was many victims in this saga that weren’t in that room and rightfully deserve a policy. I’m thinking of Jill Hardy. I’m thinking of John Proper. I’m thinking of the police departments throughout the county and uh some other uh governing agencies throughout our region. Um, so hopefully this is the end of that aspect of this. Unfortunately, there are elements of the the conspiracy, for lack of a better word, that still continue to um affect our office, our resources with right to know requests and things like that. Um, I don’t think this will truly be over until that ends as well. So, thanks to all those that that continue to fight through that aspect of us. Appreciate that.”

— Brian Norris, Board President, Octorara Area School District. Public board meeting, timestamp 29:39.
